Kaley Lappas: i would go to college and get alevels then go onto university and either directly study primary education with a QTS or study a subject and then go on to study a PGCE. some courses will accept a BTEC as a route to university but not all courses will. research teaching courses on UCAS see what you need to get in, that should tailor your ideas for what to study in college. if you have a particular course in mind try looking on the university website and they will tell you what they require for entry. competition is high for primary education so grades will be important but try and get some other things under your belt as well to make you stand out. try and get into some primary schools for work experience, write a letter to the head and ask. do you have a hobby that could be useful in a school ( are you really good at a sport) can you speak any additional languages fluently?theyre not essential things to get into the course but will make you stand out....Show ! more
Jonathon Labonne: My mom is a primary teacher and all she did was get her bachelors and elementary education. Becoming a teacher is a very wise decision because it has one of the highest job placement after college percentages.
