Evelin Turlich: I think I post this answer more than any other. A television is made to receive signals. It does not produce any signals. True home theater specialist wish manufacturers (televisions) would stop making audio outs on their units. You are only rerouting the audio from the original source. You will need a true receiver to pull off this function properly, but since we are working with what you have here is a "bootleg" option.Guaranteed to work option: Take your PS3 red, white and yellow cord and plug the appropriate end into the PS3. Plug the red and white audio plugs into your audio in on your surround sound (aux) and the yellow only into one of your video options on the televisions. This will definitely work.Maybe this will work: Take the red, white and yellow cord and plug the appropriate end into your PS3 - take the red and white and plug into your surround sound audio in option or (aux). Act as if the yellow does not! exist. It plugs into nothing. NOW take your HDMI and plug it into the PS3 and HDMI input on your television. This may allow you to play surround sound with HD quality and listen through your television....Show more
Roselee Mczeal: Throw it away.
Gabriel Realmuto: The TV will not route HDMI audio to the analog output connector. Take the standard stereo audio cable(red/white) for the PS3 and connect that from the PS3 to the home theater. You'll use that for sound and HDMI for video. You then have to tell your PS3 to use the analog output by going into the settings menu of the XMB and going to the sound settings and selecting the last option on the following screen:http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/cur...If you don't get sound after that you are on the wrong input of your home theater....Show more
