Simona Bulwinkle: I am a Computer Tech, and build, update and repair computers for people in my local community, more as a hobby rather than a business.Yesterday evening, I was given a Dell Latitude, from a friend, who sends a lot of work my way, He told me, his friend couldn't use this laptop, because he had forgotten the password. simple problem, and no real problem, except, when I started this computer to check it out, it came up with the windows login, and the name of a large local corporation logo and wanted to connect to the Corporation network. From my understanding, this computer would have been wiped cleaned, if it was to be a resell or even returned to Dell for that, and I know, if the person actually ! worked for this company then he would have contacted there tech support, which they do have. So the chances are, its a stolen computer.I kinda feel insulted, that this laptop was given to me, and I so want to contact this corporations Tech support to check the status of this computer, but I feel, in doing that, I will lose a lot of respect and business. If I just return it, and tell my friend, I won't touch it, then i don't feel I have done what I should have. Or you could make up a story as to why/how the company found out it was stolen. Such as "I had to call the company helpdesk in order to figure out wich domain is the default (or something stupid like that).

Jacinta Moitoso: torrent programs automatically share the data, thats how they work, there is no way of hiding from your isp as all data traffic goes through their servers so they always can tell what you are doing, i think it was just bad luck that you got caught once and then the isp would be keeping an eye on what you are downloading, you would be better to stop before you loose your internet for good

I now need to use drastic measures, because if I get caught one more time, my internet is gone for good. I need something, like some kind of software that will encrypt my IP or something.
