Ayesha Genova: You have to know the material you are cleaning. Buy a cheap ultrasonic machine at a drug store. They work great and you can mix a dash of ammonia in warm water to clean things great and cheap. You have to be careful what types of stones you can clean without ruining them. Pearls are an item you can ruin if you don't know how. The ultrasonic machines come with a list of items you can safely clean in them. I just got one and it is great. No toothpaste that is for dumb people who know nothing about jewelry but cheap stuff. An ultra soft toothbrush with warm running water and dish soap works great. Again be careful of the stone. Luke Gacusan: Probably not. It's meant for fake teeth, not jewelry. Buy an appropriate jewelry cleaner (whether it's for gold or silver) and use that- you don't want to ruin your jewelry by accident.

Indira Wassell: It depends on the type of jewelry! If it is just like gold jewelry with no precious stones you can use toothpaste! Silly sounding I know! It works. But if you have precious stones you need to be careful because you can loosen them and have them fall out and lose them. You can just use dawn dish detergent to give your jewelry a quick shine and that's safe to!
